Seniors Clinic
Maintaining good oral health can be hard for many reasons, especially when high costs and transportation issues get in the way.
Nation’s Dental makes oral health care more affordable and accessible for seniors
Reduced cost mobile dental care for seniors
Seniors are prone to oral health issues, which is why annual oral health exams are recommended. If you live or work in a seniors' or retirement community, you know accessing these services can be difficult due to transportation, accessibility, and high costs.
Our mobile oral health team brings dental hygiene and oral health examinations right to seniors at an affordable and reduced cost.
What to expect at our senior mobile clinics
A complete examination of teeth and gums including a Head and Neck Exam. Discussion and referral to the appropriate healthcare provider if abnormalities or issues are found.
Checking for oral health issues and abnormalities and assessing the risk of developing them.
Prevora: A painless antiseptic coating applied at the gum line to treat tooth decay.
Silver Diamine Fluoride: A non-invasive, topically applied treatment that helps stop root cavities in adults and can help with tooth sensitivity. When applied to a decayed surface, SDF increases mineral density and hardness. The silver acts as an antimicrobial (kills bacteria), the fluoride acts to re-mineralize the surface, and the proteins that break down the tooth surface (dentin) are inhibited. SDF is a great option for those who are being medically managed. Our dental hygienists will assess whether the patient is a good candidate for this treatment.
Advice on how to take care of teeth, including dentures and/or partial dentures. Referral to partnering denturist as required.
Oral Cancer Head and Neck Examinations are performed by our hygienists at every appointment.
